You want it to have 0.0 angle when under load, so you need to know how much it moves and then set it to that so when it is under load you have 0.0 between the pin and shaft

You know a good diagram on this ? I found one on a racing site but they show diferent ways people set the angle..

Depends what suspension you have and how much your pin travels to set it, if you have a link suspension you may only need 1.5 degrees diff then the shafts angle.

Ultimately you want the pin pointed directly at the shaft and have no misalignment underload, if you have a factory link with bushing's you may need 2.5 off the shaft, leaf springs you may need 4.5

1 to 1.5 off the shaft, if the shaft is 0 you then want 1 degree down on the pin if you feel any slight vibe when you launch then add another .5 degree

I done a quick check last night, I have 0 on the tailshaft and on this angle finder shows 3 degrees to the right of 0 on the pinion

What side of the car are looking at it?
Is the pinion UP or DOWN is what is needed??

You posted yeserday > 1.5 to 2 degrees negative of the shafts angle

The part i want to make sure im doing right, Am i suppose to be checking the angle on the driveshaft a little above the univesal joints on the driveshaft, or do you mean the trans tailshaft? Then i know how to check the pinion angle, i always use the pinion yoke..

This is what i posted on the bullet last nigt...WE keep missing each other...

I have 0 on the trans tailshaft, 3 degrees to the right of 0 on the pinion looking at this angle finder from the driver side..What is the best setting i should go with, with a 4link all solid bushings upper & lower adj arms..Been soo long since i set the angle i forgot how..thanks

Use the shaft not the trans, race cars want 0.0 angle underload

You want to set the pin so that underload it may move up 1.5 degree, so if the shaft is say 0 you want to set the pin so it is at 0 to the shaft.
This way you have no loss in angle and angles in joints for racing apps should be non existent

Ok , using this angle finder lookng at it from the pass side of the car, came up with + 2 1/2 on the driveshaft, and -1 1/2 degrees on the pinion yoke..

you need the # from the output shaft on the trans. It sounds like the pinion is up 1.5* ?? If so the trans would have to be 1.5* down to have 0* with no load
