Wow!! A lot of history for me in that video. I made the piston assembly for Norm Grimes when I was at Arias. Next door to the piston shop was the Arias engine shop and Nick and Alan Root were going to be partners in the Ford hemi. When the first block came in finish machined Alan and I were checking it out and BAM, a main stud broke right there in front of us. The piece of stud along with the nut and washer hit the lid of the box. It was determined that the heat treat was way too brittle.
