Anyone get responses to questions sent in?

Been a few weeks for me and nothing... camshaft rules are still unclear.

Here at the REC we answer questions on the spot or within 24 hours. Since we expanded the contest by one day we
have an opening for one more contestant. Those in our inaugural event are guaranteed a spot in next years contest.

Nope! I sent in a couple of questions over a week ago and .......crickets. Can't even get started as the answers to my questions affects my piston design. J.Rob

over two weeks for me. Getting really tight to order custom parts, and without a clear rule on the cam, it's just sit and wait.

Standard iron core? And In the camshaft heading it says "lift". But no mention of a lift , is there a lift rule? Usually

Just buy a couple cams and sets of pistons which will meet whatever rule either way, no matter what the question.

That must be what you are expected to do ... ](*,)

Ever hear anything back on this? Looking over previous years' rules, they had a lift rule in 2017 @ .600" at the valve and unlimited lift for 2016. It's possible there is no limit this year. Wouldn't be the first time.

Anybody got any communication other than a request to pay up on entry fees? 5 weeks to go and everything is up in the air.. Anybody want to lay odds that it gets cancelled?

There has been a very large "changeover" of personnel at Hot Rod Magazine this year.
So, being that this event is on the bottom of their totem pole of events, it is not a wonder to me that things are even worse than in the past.
