We at team Creason want to thank all those at the EMC; we all had a very nice week, and send a special thanks to our new friends we met from Sweden, the Lindstrom Racing Engines team. ( LRE )

We all had a great time at dinner Thursday evening with the LRE team. Great bunch of guys.

And for those that have competed at the EMC, think how much time and effort it takes when you live here, and how much more effort it takes for someone from Sweden to do it. They are all certainly an above average group !

Hi Marcus here. I would just like to say that we had an EPIC!! time at engine masters. And especially thanks to team Creason. What a great bunch of pepole, I hope didn`t kill Ricks mod for bbq forever after my tour in maybe not the best area of Lima
And all you others
Adney Brown,Gene Adams/Smithberg, Jon Kaase, and all the others that I certainly forgotten you guys rock.
I think Johan will come on here and say the same.
This has been a dream come true.

That was Randy, not me, that you took on the scenic bbq tour of Lima. lol

We had a great time there at EMC and visiting with the LRE team. Lot's of great people and interesting engines. Jon Kaase stands out as an incredibly smart man yet so humble. Nice induction system from Nick Smithberg. My hats off to Adger and RJ for a great job too.

Thanks to all,
Rick

We had a good time hanging out with the Sweede's too. Brought them along for the tour of UNOH. I think we asked them about the status of their engine delivery a half dozen times. Was really rooting for them to have a good showing and the opportunity to run. Hats off to them for their effort!
We at Team LRE would like to thank you all at Engine Masters Challlenge, students, staff & participants.
It's truly been an honor meeting, competing and rubbing shoulders with you, and an experience far beyond our expectations!

A special thanks to Team Creason who not only built a killer engine but also bought us dinner at Thursday night :D
I really hope that we will see you all again soon: Adney Brown, Gene Adams/Smithberg Team, Creason Team and all of you that was selfless offering your trucks to us

Thanks
Johan Lindstrom/ LRE (Lindstrom Racing Engineering)

Mr Wallace
Marcus is being humble, he has thought me more than he is willing to admit. and I´m starting to wonder about that "chevy nerd" thing  all he talked about when we was in the U.S was Dodge, Dodge, Dodge

What would you like to know?
it is a std stroke Chrysler 318 with CP-pistons 3.94" bore, piston rings Top:1/16 Sec:1/16 Oil:3mm.
Eagle Crank, Eagle SIR rods, std oil pump, factory pick-up, factory windage tray, Heads Iron #302 2.02-1.6 valves.
Nothing fancy, is it something more specific you would like to know? feel free to ask.

What cam lobes and rocker ratio did it have ?

I just want to make sure I got it right when we were talkin about it at the EMC.

Well done on your first EMC and trip to the USA. What cam/rockers did you use? Why the '302 heads and not something more mainstream like EQ iron or Edelbrock? Just curious. Again congrats and well done. J.Rob

Thanks it was a real fun experience, and it was fantastic meeting all these guys that I looked up to for so many years :) .

First of all I think the combustion chambers of the #302 are better, I need the support from the chamber at 7 o´clock (if you understand what I mean).
The next thing is that I think the EQ & Edelbrocks are to big (at there largest points so to say), I wanted a port that changed as little as possible in area.
(But I should say that Im thinking about trying some EQ now.)

I also would like to say that this concept is nothing I usual would do, its a theory, my way of thinking outside the box if you will.
I was accepted to participate in 2008 EMC but didn't make it then, but still had everything laying around at the shop and I thought it would probably work with these rules as well (never thought it would work this well) :D
I had 4 camshafts laying around this one was the largest, and when this years rules said 3500-6800rpm instead of 2500-6500rpm I just went with that.
The Camshaft is therefore @.050" In:252 Ex:245 ,Sep:101 Installed:101, the rockers are IN 1.6:1 EX 1.5:1 ,
Lift In .515" (1.6:1 -lash)
Lift Ex .556" (1.5:1 -lash)

We didn't have the time to try anything before shipping it so now Im just real anxious to start testing some stuff

Thanks once again
Johan Lindstrom

The lobes are Comp Cams 6235 on intake(MA) and 6579 on exhaust (MM) .
1.6:1 In 1.5:1 Ex.
that makes @.050" 252in & 245ex , .515"In .556"Ex (-lash) sep 101 In 101.
as I said to J.Rob this is nothing I normally do  it is me thinking outside the box.
and Im real anxious start testing & tuning it :D

I would love to see you flip those lobes around and widen LSA a little. Interesting cam nonetheless. I'm still curious about your rockers, I'm sure your'e busy but maybe you could post up spec on your build at some time?
Find a Weiand X-celerator 7545 (sorry for the typo of 7576-had Edelbrock on the brain) and you may be surprised. J.Rob

Bet there was score left with more lift.
I'm with Ramm (kinda lol) I say more lift and less duration. I'd want the lift at the limit of the rules.

I`m thinking more duration same lift

The simple explanation to why I don´t want more lift is because Ive never seen a #302 head flow over .500" lift
