This should be an indication where HotRod has lead the competition. Not sure anyone cares anymore.

And that's very unfortunate. I really miss how it used to be. :cry:

Articles in Hot Rod so far (two issues) have had nice write ups on the two winners in each class, but nothing really about the contest itself, or the other entries.

New Engine Masters magazine on news stands.
Better coverage - not at old levels but much more comprehensive than what has appeared in Hot Rod.

Still no rules - but a couple page "tickler" article listing classes.

Those who know the history here know we tried to set up an alternative contest. After searching the country we could
not find another venue willing to host a contest. It comes down to getting University of Northwest Ohio (UNOH) to
play host or we remain at a dead end.
After all the staff downsizing, layoffs and resignations at HRM the EMC seems like the last of their priorities.
Our only chance may be to lobby Andy O'Neal at UNOH to let us set up an alternative contest to HRM.
So engine builders, call him, email him, write him and share your disappointment and frustration with the status quo.

I keep checking this post. I know lots are too but they comment nothing. It is what it is I guess. I think hot rod is too busy making trailers that have an engine running asuper charger to tow behind a worthless piece of shit car. They think that engine masters is worthless but they are blinded by tv telling them what is cool. They are wrong. Eventually the thrill will be gone and then they will have no job. Keep reaching HRM! Your days are numbered!

I certainly like the Engine Masters Competition, (except for the dyno snafu last year).

If you don't agree with their rules then just don't enter however, I simply wish some things were different;
1. not erroneous information about the actual dates for which the new rules would be divulged and released;
(telling everyone February 1st sure didn't mean a thing)
2. no truthful transparency.
3. relatively no further public information or attention in the months leading up to the event.

Other than that stuff ... it works pretty well.

"VENTURE CAPITALISM" will eventually bleed everything dry and little will remain.

My last time checking this post. I do no matter at all I get that. I don't wanna here how I'm being a dick or anything. I'm sure the rules are going to be out my guess march. You guys have fun. I'm out unless Ed Zinke comes back. I think it's such a shame.

K Randy. I will entertain you. I am passionate about engine master. I remember reading about you guys in the mags. it was my dream to do so. I tried and I tried hard. I neglected my kids and my wife. My fam is number one. The guys running the show are ignorant to what it takes to build a competitive engine. Then they decide to create videos calling themselves engine masters? They know nothing about it. This competition is [DELETE THIS POST]! Again. It's my opinion I don't care if anyone thinks I'm wrong or right. I'm dun. Do what u want

I know you do buddy. I know. I'm just venting I've had enough. If you speak your opinion you get accused of internet bashing. Well maybe they deserve it I'm out!
