Sniping is the only way to play Ebay. You put in what an item is worth to you and go to bed. It make you immune to sellers with shills. I've used Esnipe for 10 years. Their $5 fee buys you points to bid on $500 worth of stuff, they DO let you go over point limit.

When one puts in their "BEST BID" early, another bidder can run up the bid and get the item for only $1 more...

But now I plan to try Gixen for free!
