Ghost peppers
In retrospect, I shouldn't have planted a GP plant period, let alone next to my Jalepenos to cross breed with. I plucked an immature pepper the other night and it's taken me three days just to eat a baby ghosty. Does anyone else love hot peppers?
Re: Ghost peppers
I have two rows of peppers, including ghost, Thai dragon, Scotch bonnet. When cooking, I put them in everything except milkshakes.
OT, but last year, before putting up the deer fence, I was noticing the one Scotch bonnet I'd planted was staying small. Then, I noticed it wasn't setting fruit. Finally figured the deer loved the blossoms and immature fruit better than any of the other peppers. They kept the Scotch bonnet trimmed like a bonsai.
This is the new deer fence. Not cost-effective, but then most of our projects have mission creep.

Thanks. It was a fun project. My wife came up with a squirrel, a family of quail, a humming bird nest, an owl and a flicker.ZIGGY wrote:Especially enjoyed the birds & the latch.

I will never forget one time when our three kids were little.
I was mowing the yard out back by my little garden and the neighbor Lady came over and said something like this.
I wondered why all the kids went running over to Mrs. So and So's water faucet yesterday afternoon until I saw your small red pepper plants!!
I looked over at them and sure enough there laid a 1/2 eaten red hot pepper!! He, He!!
I guess they all picked one to see if they tasted good because they were SO pretty!!

The kids never bothered my little garden again after that!!
