Also notice Jay is holding the cage with his hand between the cage and "A" post that could have left him a "Lefty" in an instant, very lucky indeed. His hand let go [involuntarily I am sure] as soon as the flipping started. Goes to show that no matter how many times you go to the edge it just take once for things to go REAL BAD! That is only the second incident in 50 years and it was TOTALLED! Harry

The car that flipped is repaired and I saw it make a pass yesterday, not sure of the track, same driver.

I didn't see the episode but I did see a short video of just the lead up and the accident. It looked like complete driver error to me. That track they were at had banking at the outside and the driver wasn't getting the car lined up straight before he nailed the throttle for a pass and wasn't slowing down enough before turning back around.

I'm sure it was a typical tv deal where they were working on a super tight deadline and took whatever space they could get their hands on in the time needed. The driver was probably wanting to really give Jay the wheels up experience but that for sure wasn't the right place to do it in.
