Our first snow of the season is happening right now and at 4+ inches, there is no sign of it letting-up just yet.

OH yea, this is in southeast Michigan.

I remember the hellish snows that hit South Bend!! South bend is like 32 miles as the crow fly's from Lake Michigan so it gets the famous "Lake Effect Snows"... Suckers can go all the way over to Ft. Wayne.

Glad we are here in central MO..

We have had crystal clear days and nights in the Pacific NW for a couple of weeks. That means it gets progressively colder at night each day, from initially 40 degrees at night down to 19 degrees last night. Daytimes were in the low fifties, today never got above 40. Never fear, the monsoons will re-appear this week, bringing temperatures back to the 50s again. But if it rains, you don't have to shovel it. I used to live in upstate NY. I could talk about some snow.

Maine coast today, Cloudless sky, 30* before sun up, 50* at noon time. Cutting fire wood in a t shirt and sweating. Last year at this time we had two major storms and two feet of snow on the ground. I plowed 32 hours the first and 36 hours the next. From there it just never stopped. Go figure.

Currently 60 degrees at 6:30 pm. Sat, Sun, and, Mon produced about 4 inches of rain. The forecast is calling for another 1 or 2 inches by tomorrow, plenty more on the way, but it's warm, and it doesn't need to be shoveled. The next 30-40 days is when we usually get snow if any. People in the PNW don't know how to deal with snow when it comes, and things can get pretty crazy when it shows up.

While I was walking my dog this morning I saw someone cutting their grass.
I live 1 1/2 hrs. north east of Toronto.
I can't remember not having snow this late in the year, ever.

I kinda like it.

We get enormous swings in seasonal weather patterns here. I have been out water skiing after Thanksgiving and played golf the day after Christmas. Just before Christmas 2008 the included photo was taken. A half our south of here they had no snow at all.
