I wanted to let the Speed Talk family know what has been going on in the last few weeks.

Donny AKA Shopboss has not been feeling very well at all, for roughly the last two weeks he has been fighting
what we thought was a really brutal sinus infection that just would not go away.
He has had a headache that would be blinding sometimes and tolerable at others but it was always there.
His doctor treated him in what he and also we felt was the proper actions but there was never an improvement in his condition, and he also was getting increasingly unstable on his feet.
On Tuesday of this week we had a CT scan done and some blood work aswell, later that day the doctor called and told us that he was going to get him an appointment with a Neurosurgeon.
There is a mass, possibly a tumor that has formed on his brain. It is putting pressure on the front right lobe and this is the reason for the headache and also his increasing Lack of coordination.
We have since had him admitted to a hospital in Atlanta and they have run several more scans of different types and at this point in time the doctors feel confidant that this is somthing that can be removed.
They also feel that it does not look like Cancer but they are also cautioning us to be prepared just incase, they will be doing a biopsy of the mass/tumor after it is removed.
They also do not think there is any permanent damage and that if everything goes well with the surgery then there should be A full recovery.
He is scheduled for surgery on Monday, we will be meeting with the surgery team on Sunday.
After talking with the doctors we do feel optimistic.
I want to try to keep everyone here in the loop and I will be posting updates as I have time.

Hi everyone.
I wanted to give a few updates on Donny's condition.
So here is the good news.
He is feeling much better right now, the meds that they have him on are helping with swelling and making him feel much more like himself.
No pain and much more stable on his feet.
So far surgery is still on for Monday.


Now for the rest of it.
After a specialist in Oncology reviewed his scans they have determined that it is most likely cancer.
Possibly something called a Glioblastoma multiforme.
Really fast growing and invasive so we really have no idea when it started.
He will more than likely need radiation therapy and that will begin within a few weeks.
He will also be on some form of cancer treatment in the form of pills for the rest of his life.
This is also not something that can be completely eradicated but it can be controlled for the most part with the proper treatment.

We are still upbeat and the prognosis for his recovery in the short term is still good.
And we are still planning our trip to the Engine Masters and I think I have even lined up a sponsor for our entry this year.

Again I will try to keep the updates coming and we really apreciate everyones support.

Okay guys surgery is planned for 1:00 pm today, they said it would be around six hours.
They will be giving some updates during the surgery.
I will try to give a few updates through the day.

Guys We really appreciate the thoughts.
They are expecting 3 hours or so for the surgery and then some time in recovery as well.
