I want to see the ignition timing map that will regulate fuel flow to the cylinders.

After the race generate a CRC from the firmware if it is not correct than they are gone.
Why would there be any issues of legality? NASCAR doesn't give a damn about being legal, other than going through the motions. They only care about close finishes which can be obtained in a number of ways. If it were otherwise, there would not be so many "yellow" flags to bunch up the field.

Perhaps WWE is far more legitimate.

Well guys there is nothing bad with the Nascar but there is a need of fuel efficiency and there should be a Diesel cars try for race and this will be a new concept.

Have your pillow ready, it'll put you to sleep, but it's one of the press conferences announcing NASCAR's partnership with McLaren & Freescale, and they talk a little about the major questions.

It is interesting to note that when NASCAR decided to go to fuel injection (under intense pressure from the OEMs), they elected to use throttle body injection, which is little more than an electronic carburetor. The manifolds were made by Edelbrock. Even with this rather crude and antiquated form of fuel injection, it quickly became obvious to NASCAR that an inlet restrictor would have to be fitted in order to limit the increased power that fuel injection produced.

Imagine if NASCAR would permit real innovation and the use of modern fuel injection and induction. It would probably be necessary to lower compression ratio considerably.

Its a 4 hole throttle body as opposed to what to make it modern??

single 100mm throttle body with manifold, twin throttle bore 62mm or a stack style injection system??

No kidding. According to that article, FAST "let NASCAR choose another brand"

Nevermind that FAST doesn't do table-driven individual cylinder corrections, doesn't run coilpacks without a dorky "extra box," doesn't have a realtime barometric pressure sensor, doesn't have a humidity sensor input, doesn't support one or two way telemtry, and about 20 other features that are being used on the McLaren EFI.

A buddy of mine worked at Roush and I know they tested a ton of different systems before the McLaren was announced as the official box.

Totally lame IMO.

A modern fuel injection system would consist of individual inlet runners of prescribed diameter and length determined by intended operation, a plenum chamber of proper length and diameter, a cold box with proper zip tube, and individual injectors, properly placed, for each cylinder.

Any twenty year old Formula One engine is an excellent example of modern design.
