The small block was tight, credit to the quality of work the guys that showed up produce. The big block had a little wider range, the difference in the manifold top had a little to do with that. I still think it should be about the carb, otherwise you will have to have carb guys teaming up with intake builders, and you will never know which individual part made the difference or if it was a combination. Combinations are what the engine masters is for.

This sounds like an awesome event, it will give carb builders a venue to strut there stuff, and show who can really live up to the hype. I am very curious to see which builders will have the stones to compete head to head in a nuetral enviroment like this where there will be no excuses for coming up short. I think an hour of tuning time should be reasonable.

I just don't understand the point of this competition if the results are kept secret. The whole point of any competition is that the results be made public so that we can all see the winners and losers. I can't think of any competition where the results are kept secret. It just seems to be more of a "Carb Club" event.

They said who the winners were. That means everybody else in that group was a loser.

Anyone that showed up was a winner for participating. A few had good excuses for not being able to come, and there were a few without enough faith in their product to participate. It was a good time for everyone there and BLP was an excellent host. We had a good time and some had good stories to tell, I look forward to see what's in store for next year.
