I raise my hand as someone who does care. This administration is hell bent on the Federal government controlling as much of our lives as they can. From the land to health-care. It also looks like they are on a path to drive this country into bankruptcy or bring it down to "size". The CBO reported that the debt is going to be much more than has been reported. Not good folks.

One interesting side note is how the media reported the Jim DeMint story regarding the extension of the unemployment bill and repeated in my local paper today. There was no mention of PayGo or of how are we going to fund the bill. It was all about how bad and mean the Republicans are. Just pathetic coverage.

Hey Harry, can you believe what is going on in Washington regarding passing the health-care legislation? Talk about Chicago thug politics on display with Rahm threatening a Congressman in the shower. Latest is they are going to pass the legislation in the House without a vote by manipulating the House rules. There is bipartisanship against the bill but only partisanship for it. This has to be the biggest boon-doggle in my lifetime.

Yes, it is surreal, TransAm. But once you know who you are dealing with in the person now residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and connect the dots with respect to his radical associates, mentors and those who bankroll him...... Sadly, none of this seems far fetched at all.

Regarding so-called 'health care reform' (AKA the imposition of socialized medicine on the general citizenry in direct opposition to the will of the majority of Americans...... And the exemption granted themselves by the architects of this government takeover and those in Congress who would have to pass it)......

The real danger here is in allowing any of this to pass into law...... For it sets in place the framework of socialized medicine and government takeover of much of the private sector not related to 'health care' as well. And once in place, this framework can be used over time by those so inclined to incrementally implement a socialist takeover by government of the private sector in general.

As you may know, all of Obama's initiatives were / are 'ghost written' by the 'Apollo Alliance' (AKA 'Apollo Group') and submitted to Congress via the White House. Obama associates Van Jones (Obama's 'green tzar' who had to step down when some of his radical associations and his '911 truther' adherence became public knowledge) and co-founders of the radical 'Weather Underground' Jeff Jones and Bill Ayers (domestic terrorists, murderers and bombers) and Ayers' wife Bernadine Dohrn (also a member of the 'Weather Underground' and a close associate of Michelle Robinson Obama since the late '80s when both were employed at the Chicago law firm of Sidley Austin) are the driving force behind the 'Apollo Alliance'. Michelle Robinson and Barack Obama met whilst both were employed at Sidley Austin. Barack Obama was introduced to his political mentor Bill Ayers through Michelle's association with Ayers' wife, Bernadine Dohrn.

And you may also know that a key piece of the framework (mandatory collection and electronic reporting of your personal health records to the government on demand) has already been signed into law as part of the unrelated 'Economic Stimulus' bill.

That is why it is imperative that we prevent any more of this framework for socialist takeover from being put into place...... And and as soon as we can vote those now in power who are behind this out of office...... That we demand that any and all of the framework they manage to put into place be repealed / rescinded by the next Congress we send to Washington.

Looking forward to correcting this in 2010 and 2012,

Harry

I noticed the exact same treatment. I heard Rush discuss it. Later, the same day (and this is a daily exercise..) I heard NPR's version. Of course, NPR made no mention of Bunning's angle in using "pre-gathered" stimulus money (just sitting there, BTW) to fund the extension. Funny thing, and these are the things I listen for, Rush didn't omit any details on either side. NPR plainly did. Soooooo, who exactly is "spewing" biased information?

Ron, you are right on target in your observation. Same thing with the global warming melt down. Hardly a peep out of our msm. You have to go to the press in Great Briton as an example for the latest news.

Harry, we are seeing what an out of control government looks like. If the Democrats don't pay dearly for this come November our country is gone forever and you can say "we are all socialist now".

And what about, "from enemys foreign and domestic" wouldn't a domestic enemy skirt past all the laws, do what ever to get elected into office, and spend the country into oblivion etc etc. ??? Just curious, really need a good definition of this stuff.

For those interested here is from the Constitution. I see a Constitutional crisis if the Democrats go ahead with their plan. Notice "in all cases".

From Art 1, Section 7:
But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively.

Boy, does that one push a button. The MSM is still pretending it's in the Walter Cronkite world. Just don't report what you don't like and it disappears.
You have to look hard at the BBC's take also. It's been reported their retirement plans were heavily invested in carbon based businesses. So, to think there's no bias there is a mistake. It's only that the US MSM makes them look good.
