It's not all the engine. Mike is one of the best clutch & chassis guys on the planet. Like Greg said, it's everything. Watch everybodies 60's.

A few years back one of the guys at the top ran slow for a month at the end of the season (he was out of the hunt anyway) then a few weeks into the next year he starts passing everyone that was beating him so badly at the end of the previous year, so all the keyboard warriors are making nitrous jokes (saying he is sponsored by a dentist etc) Meantime I knew a guy who knew a guy and at the end of the year prior they were saying how stupid he was because he was trying to run this tiny clutch and it would never work (his car had slowed .02-5 at the end of the year) of course the next year when he started going by everyone it had to be nitrous they had all forgotten about the clutch he had spent the entire off season developing!

I guess it is human nature that makes it a lot more fun to speculate about nitrous, than chassis and clutch development. Personally I think anyone posting unproven information about a specific team or person cheating in racing or hell someone posting about cheating in racing at all should be tied to a pole and shot!

Now on the other hand I have thought about a oxygenated coating that you could place in the plenum, it would probably only be worth about 10 hp, but by the end of the run its completely dissolved, now I am not saying anyone is doing it but if I have thought of it I am sure others have and its pretty likely that their are chemicals suitable for the purpose...See how easy it is to go out in left field speculating on this stuff.....Ohh yeah I guess maybe I was a little harsh about that tying to a pole and shooting stuff

Mike Edwards, his shop is about 20 miles from mine. Located between Broken Arrow and Coweta, Oklahoma, near Tulsa. Long time friend of mine. Not a nicer guy alive. People ask me "Is he "putting on" in his interviews?" Nope, that's just Mike.
