can not return to searched page after reading thread

only on this forum after searching a subject and reading a thread, cannot return to search page unless hitting refresh and then clicking on another window to acknowledge something.

is it the computer setup or the website?

Well damn! You're right; didn't used to be this way. You could just hit the left-pointing arrow at the top of the page and go back to the original search results.

Hope it was an oversight or glitch rather than a deliberate 'negative enhancement'

I had that happen to me the other day while searching and I thought it was a temporary thing. I just checked and it looks like the search function still has the same problem. Reason I thought it was temporary is this has happened to me in the past.
