I can here it now....

poster 1: I am going to run a turbo on my car, what do i need to do.
poster 2: Make sure your compression is under 9:1
poster 1: how do I go about that? my car is an xxx
poster 2: That car has 10:1 from the factory, you need some dish top pistons.
good for 40 psi, it'll run 9's
I was no longer driving the car consciously. I was driving it by a kind of instinct, only I was in a different dimension.

Someone beat me to it. I was going to patent that idea. The secret is out now. I could have made millions on it.

Wonder how much metal got down in the cylinders....because you KNOW that he didn't pull the motor apart to do that.

Must be related to the guy that used a wood chisel to make the valve reliefs in his pistons deeper.

Everyone is laughing right now. You won't be after he wins the next Engine masters contest. And if you think the pistons look awsome, just wait till you see the cam.

A friend had an engine come through his shop with aluminum diamond plate "domes" held to the tops of the pistons with bolts and nuts. He kept one of the pistons on the desk out front as a curio. It was worn, and carbon-covered... the engine had come in because it was worn out. The bolts and corners of the plate were battered where they'd contacted the head.

I always meant to take a picture of it, but it got lost over the years.
