Update...... The backroom meetings continue, the so-called 'public option' is back in and Reid and Pelosi et al continue to push socialized medicine through against the wishes of the majority of the American people (this time attached to a totally unrelated bill). Are you guys following this?

All I can say is, like everything else this lot have done and are attempting to do thus far...... Its bad for America and its bad for Americans.

And believe you me...... We will hold every last one of them who sells us out...... Everyone in Congress who votes for it...... And everyone in Congress who doesn't actively oppose it...... Accountable at the polls!

The Democrats are so proud of their healthcare plan they are hiding it behind closed doors. It will be interesting to see how much of a review well be allowed before any voting takes place.

According to my sources, little to none, TransAm! The opposition managed to obtain a copy of the 'Cap and Tax' proposal before it was pushed through and they published it on the internet earlier this year.

Of course, this energized opposition by those who became aware of what is actually in 'Cap and Tax'...... And by that, I mean not only what it will cost us and future generations in dollars and cents......

But the implications for all regarding the impending loss of freedom and personal liberties that will follow the downward spiral into socialism and government control of things affecting all Americans...... Things which are not the purvey of government according to our Constitution at all.

That is why the Democrat party 'leadership' are keeping the draft of their so-called 'Health Care Reform' (AKA socialized medicine initiative) from being made public. Few Democrats in Congress...... And no Republicans whatsoever...... Have been permitted to see the draft. Its all closed door meetings with the opposition party and much of the majority party excluded as well.

So much for the 'transparency' promised by the current occupant of the Oval Office......

And of course, like all other initiatives pushed by the current 'administration', including 'Cap and Tax'...... So-called 'Health Care Reform' (AKA socialized medicine initiative) was authored in large part by the Apollo Alliance......

But enough of cussing and discussing so-called 'Health Care Reform'...... Truth be known, the initiatives pushed by the current administration are merely pretext for the biggest power grab and money grab in our nation's short history.

The real issue before all Americans, regardless of educational background, socio-economic circumstance, political leaning, etc. is this...... Will you abandon the founding principles, the very things which have made America the greatest nation on G-d's green earth in which to live...... And allow your personal freedoms and liberties to be forfeit...... To further the interests of those whose purpose is to control every aspect of your personal lives and make you subservient to 'the state'?

I cannot speak for anyone else here..... But my answer to that question is not only 'No'...... But 'Hell no!'

Here is a way to substantially reduce the cost of health care that should be embraced by the concern liberals.

SIMPLY BOYCOTT THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM!!!

It seems this approach has worked before in other areas. The reduction in demand would cause an oversupply of health care services and would drive costs down. Right?

Let me know how that works for ya.

Last I heard they were going to use the IRS to "help" you pay for your fair share of the health care cost if you do not do it on your own. We will have to see what is in the final bill and what draconian measures are in it.

True. The so-called 'Health Care Reform' bill being pushed through by the Democrats has the 'public option' (socialized medicine) at its core and there is no provision for those of us who may wish to 'opt out', TransAm. In fact, universal participation is mandatory...... All Americans must buy health insurance whether they wish to and whether they can afford to...... Or not.

And those opting for private insurance over the 'public option' must purchase insurance having the exact same coverage as required by the 'public option'. Those who do not will be fined..... Heavily.

If passed into law...... The end result will be that unlike members of Congress and the current occupant of the Oval Office (who have written into the bill to exclude themselves from its provisions)...... The American people will soon find themselves left with a single payer system and no choice of health care providers, as many private insurance companies (not that I'm fond of them, but they are far better than socialized medicine) will be driven out of business by government subsidized health care (socialized medicine) in short order...... Well, except for the insurance companies chosen by the current administration to run and administer government health care on a contract basis.

Yes, as in all other initiatives put forth by them thus far...... The current administration will chose the 'winners' and 'losers' amongst insurance companies and health care providers, should so-called 'Health Care Reform' be passed into law......

But the real losers will be the American people. For government will dictate who will receive what treatment..... Or not. In other words...... Who shall live and who shall die.

And that is why this must be defeated at all cost.

Yes, I know...... What I have stated here sounds absolutely crazy...... Because it is! But anyone doubting this need only make themselves aware of the facts regarding the so-called 'Health Care Reform' bill to verify these key provisions.

Yep, the Democrats have come up with a new name instead of the government option. The goal is still the same and that is driving private health-care insurance companies out of business. That won't be hard to do when you don't have to make and profit and can operate at a loss at the taxpayers expense.

Oh, what a tangled web they weave......

'Socialized medicine' becomes 'Health Care Reform' and 'public option' morphs into 'competitive option'.

'Progressive' and 'socialist' and 'communist' become 'liberal' and then morph into all-inclusive 'progressive' over the past century.

Government handouts become 'entitlements' and Marxist 'redistribution of wealth' (taking from those who work and earn it and using their hard earned tax dollars to buy the votes of those who don't) becomes 'social justice'.

The global war on terror becomes 'overseas contingency operation'.

Terrorists become 'fighters' and 'insurgents'.

Terror suspects not serving in the armed forces of a particular nation picked up on the battlefield as 'enemy combatants' (who are not specifically addressed under the Geneva Conventions except as spies or saboteurs who may be summarily executed, BTW)...... Are now 'detainees' and rather than trial by military tribunal...... Are now being extended legal rights reserved under our Constitution exclusively for American citizens and processed through our civilian courts.

Homosexuals are now somehow 'gay'. Well, I'm glad they are happy. But don't co-opt the term, OK?

Unmarried couples shacking up are now 'partners'. And 'civil unions' are not enough...... Same s e x couples want to destroy the sacred bond of marriage as well.

So-called 'human-induced global warming' becomes 'climate change' when folks begin to realize that our planet actually began the next naturally occurring cooling cycle over a decade ago. This lie based upon faulty data and junk 'science' is taught in our schools as if it were fact and yea, verily...... Environmentalism is the new religion of the left. Self-hating humans preach to our school children that mankind is bad and there are too many of us inhabiting the planet and spoiling it for other species. So mankind must practice birth control and when human life is conceived...... Must murder the unborn as well. And under socialized medicine...... Euthanasia of the elderly (as determined by those on government panels who will decide who will be given what medical treatment...... In other words, who will live and who will die)...... Is somehow a 'good' thing.

I gotta tell you...... The political left are absolutely delusional at times, TransAm. Anyone who thinks its OK to murder the unborn, but its somehow not OK to kill the enemy on the battlefield in defense of one's home land nor to execute convicted murderers...... That pretty much sums it up folks. We just can't agree agree on who and when they must die. I don't think it gets any more complicated than that.

For the record, I'm for giving babies a chance.
