my car is on jackstands and have just installed calvert leaf springs and the shackles(at the bottom of them) are angled towards the front. i forget what the old springs and shackles looked like. the old and new leaf springs are identical in dimension. when lowered and at ride height, wont the bottom of the shackles be straight up and down or slightly towards the rear. car has been on the jackstands for so long i forget. all was correct when i took the car apart and it should be the same now, thanks art

With all weight off they need to be toward the rear and NEVER go straight.
