A body front suspension pics

I am going to tackle this winter modifying the front end of my 1970 Skylark. Its a bracket racer and I'm looking to loose some weight off the front end. My goal is to loose some pounds, add rack and pinion, gain header clearance and modify the k member to be able to remove the pan with the engine installed. Anyone have any pictures of such modifications so I can brainstorm on what I do and don't want to do. Don't have to be bolt on kits or anything I am an experienced fabricator. Thanks...
