double adjustable rear shocks

Post by toolmakeron »

Looking for info / advice on getting a pair. What are the good or ones to look out for. Best bang for the buck? Rebuildable. have to be sent in or get kits that you can redo them yourself. Any ideas, tips or comments are greatly appreciated. Application is in a 3100 lb mid 10's SBC bracket car .Thanks guys

Viking seems to be very hot at the moment for the money. I just ordered my DA from them and they are made in america with american made parts. Reviews have been very good and I know someone that had them put on a dyno and they outperformed the Afco big guns. They are rebuildable also. Give them a call and you will not be dissapointed.

Santhuff Shocks and Struts are 100% made in America. They are available at Rineharts Performance.com. Or by calling 717-793-6819. Call and ask me anything you'd like your shocks to do and I'll tell you if Santhuffs are right for your application

Interesting story from an incident this year. Friend has a Mopar A/SA car. Very competitive 10.00 +/- .100 in not so great air. Has AFCO DA rear shocks (Santhuff on the front). 60' times as good as 1.27. He's at the races recently with no traction, 60' or ET issues. Time to go home and strap down the car on the trailer. The right rear shock mounting bolt is missing!
And I've always been a proponent of better shocks are worth every penny you spend. But I do know I see significant results with playing with the DA AFCO's on the rear of my leaf spring 4-speed car.
