Compression height?

I am working on an engine combination that is going to require a piston with compression height 1.735." Rod ratio is already very high (>2). From a piston performance stand point does anybody think going to a still longer rod to move the pin up (to 1.535" CH) is worth anything (decreases piston weight, increases rod weight, further increases rod ratio etc). Again, really thinking from a piston standpoint only. Thanks for your thoughts.
