If you think you'll find something I'll send it down.I think it would work but when you tell the customer that they have to replace the seats if it doesn't work they back off.
Thanks Curtis. :)
I owe everything I know of valve jobs to my old boss Mike Androwick, for 1.5 yrs I did most of his valve jobs.I got to see what he liked and all, that's pretty much what I follow.

Curtis
.020 will turn into .030 over time .. and So On

From what I have seen.

A street car should probally have .040 wide seat with for heat transfer.

same with turbo, ex seats should be .050.

this is just what I have seen.

Here is one way to make some molds on the cheap

They are hollow but offer great detail and are easy to remove from the port if you don't forget the wax.

Ed,

I have a few Honda Jobs in the shop, .. I'd like to play with that head
or maybe I can try your 50º valve job on one of these.

Do you have a custom made cutter for the standard & 50º seats or
are you doing multi cuts???

Call me or e-mail me so we can work on this, .. shop 703-541-0565

Thanks curt! I have the head finished and it flowed very strong down low, and up high I kept the port small so the .500 number is only 268cfm. Looking at the velocities I have to say this head should perform better than the other one he has, but I talked with him and he agrees if my head does not work as good, then he will bring it back in and we will start by making the port larger at the min. cross section and go back from there. At least he's willing to work with me on this project and not demanding the high lift number from me regardless of performance...
