Could any one tell me the center to center distance crank to cam on a sbc.

Thanks for the reply. The problem I am having is my Cloyes Hex-A-Just won't go on and a plus .005 over Cloyes will go on but is just to tight. The block is an 010-020 block.

I have seen this before on the 010 blocks. The biggest problem is that GM line bores the cam tunnel with the cam bearings in place thats why some times after putting new cam bearings in the cam won't fit and when you measure the housing bores the are out of round. We buy alot of brand new cores from GM and every block has cam bearings installed. You might be able to go to a gear drive set up. Or if your block has not been line honed have it done that will help as well. And if worst comes to worst send the block to me as we have a fixture for truing the cam tunnels 4.521 center to center and parralle to the main line by going up to a .040 over cam bearing if needed and on the Bow-tie, Dart and World blocks we can cut for roller bearings as well.
