An awesome design and look from Cadillac!

Is Cadillac still their own division- or is this a GM Powertrain effort? As high tech as Cadillac wants to be- and not an owner myself but as the miles piled on didn't they really have shortcomings, Northstar head bolts or gaskets.

As far as I know Cadillac is still a separate division of GM, however all engines developed and produced by GM are done under the GM corporate structure and as such get used in many cases by more than one division in their vehicles.

I am not even sure GM Powertrain develops all the engines used throughout the GM divisions?

Maybe a more informed individual on here can elaborate the structure of engine development currently in place and use at GM.
