Kinda random question: If someone has bought shortie headers that are NOT at a tuned length at all, is there any benefit to using PipeMax's recommendations for the secondary / collector harmonics or is the harmonic wave just gone at the collectors because of the Primary Pipe's untuned length?
A friend has a Dart block SBC 408, but put Sanderson 1 7/8" shortie headers on it with a primary length of only 7.5" (8th harmonic is at 10.3"), do the PipeMax Collector Length recommendations still apply despite the primary pipes being WAY too short?

It's a good and timely question as I'm wondering about a 2-into-1 merge collector length test, too so I'll be following your thread for sure.

Run a y-pipe if possible, don't need to be equal length.

You have to lengthen the collector to make it work.
But the collector does no good if there is not an reflection at the end of it.
