If you were on the dyno and wanted to get both sorted out, which one would you start with?
Me thinks collector length but I can imagine wanting to go back to double-check once the cam is where you want it.

one of the speakers at the Race Engine Challenge gave a pretty detailed procedure on tuning for max power. exhaust was last
Re: Testing Cam Position and Collector Length
I remember Dan's EMC team (RIP) 5 or 6 years ago being pressed for time on testing and lamenting that they didn't get into collector length sooner.

Re: Testing Cam Position and Collector Length
If you have dual cams I'd start with a lot of overlap, and see what happens with the collector first.
Re: Testing Cam Position and Collector Length
With an 18" collector being a pretty safe universal length, would it be best to start your dyno test with that and the fine tune at the end?
