Nice numbers, and interesting results from the header hest.
Somewhat handy with a die grinder.

I was pleasantly surprised also. I thought about 1.3 per inch would be the norm for these type of street engines. We were blessed with accurate o2 sensors for a change on the dyno, and ended up with a 6 jet size spread to get them as even as possible. This was with a crappy 12 by 3 inch air cleaner on it also. ( with picked up 8 hp. Lol. ) 94 octane pump fuel. The headers shocked me a bit. I thought the larger tube would prevail by a bunch. But it didn’t. A thank you to mike jones is in order. His lifters and cam worked well.

Excellent results!
I’m very curious about the headers myself. Was these long tubes or shorties?

X2 for the results and am also interested with the headers. How much mismatch at the port with the small primary? Tri-y or long tubes, stepped? Collector length and diameter? Do the specs agree with Pipemax? Was there a down turn from the port or more like dyno/ boat/ Hotrod headers? Just curious as need to build headers for Hotrod with 2v Cleveland with 1.625 primaries. Great work on a stout combination that should have good manners.

Nice results there!
Looks like your averaging about 245 Intake cfm to make that 500 hp.

The headers were a hooker 1.5 diameter primary designed to fit a mustang ll. They turn off the head immediately. No step , long tube/2.5 inch collector.belive me, I rolled my eyes when the customer showed up with them. But, you just never know until you test it. The second set were nothing trick either, just larger tubes 1 5/8 and a 3.0 collector.

They both were close to the exit size, as my customer ground out the inside weld and welded the outside.CamKing wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 10:59 amWhich were closer to the size/area of the exhaust port at the flange ?grant6395 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 10:30 am The headers were a hooker 1.5 diameter primary designed to fit a mustang ll. I would have liked that info but our fuel flow meter was on the fritz.
