2.200" big end and .990" pin is a Chevy diameter stroker rod. Seems eagle and most are only doing i beam in a stroker rod option unfortunately

Doesn't the 429 and 460 both have 6.605" length rods? If so, RPM has H beams and I beams in stock. Here is a link for the I beams.

Spot on, yes correct both regular 429/460 run same rod length,

The ones pictured are an ultra light rod, which are not made on a 6.605 length. I think the stock bolts are far superior to the ProComps.

We spent many years racing very tight budget 429 and 460 bbf's. I can tell you 1st hand that bone stock rods in a 429, im talking unbalanced and second hand stock rod bolts, will take about 4 seasons drag racing being run to 6500 shift/6700 stripe rpm. In the 460's the rods dont handle it as long but will take a lot more than given cred for. Talking stock rods-- They usually started to pinch the big end brearing as the section between the bolt head and beam starts to deform. Inspect the oil filter for any fragments and read the oil pressure consistency like a bible,, any change- look at the bearings, a rod/s was always out of shape.
The eagle rods were a cheap breath of fresh air when budget was king.
Whats the most power you made with stock rods? Did ya use CJ heads And roller cams?

Around 620/640hp on the best of the 'budget' 460ci, SFT cam, iron D3VE heads.

Cool, save me tons of Hrs on dove heads, Say hello again to the good heads lol. I was afraid with a 300 cc head that it would want 7,000 rpms +. I suppose I just use a milder cam to keep it from rpm happy lol. Was going to use a RPM manifold. Not sure now, have to see how the converter acts off the 750 HP 501. It would love Nitrous lol. I can't help myself lol

Converter was going about 5500 on brake , ATI 8 inch C4 4.11 gear, 28x10 3150 with driver. Ran 5.80s at 120 mph on 92 octane, street roller 268 Dur. cam @.050 small a bit. Heads flowed best of 390 cfm @ 750 lift. Thinking about installing 2.25 valve from TFS 2.20 to help the lower lift alot. My buddy copied my heads and gained 25 cfm 400 lift. I think he needed to make bowls bigger as the .750 figures where about the same. I didnt get to see his streets so maybe it was in the SSR that he didn't gain high flow. Would like to know before I decide on bigger valves.

Why the RPM intake choice, clearance probs?

Give the little bigblock more torque with the converter being more like a 4200 probably with 200 less HP and alot less torque from a 3.59 stroke.

Fair call too although id be surprised if a victor 460 were not better ET wise if you are shifting up at 6700 ish even at 429ci
