Charliesauto....that Bosch alternator at $2,500.00 is one more reason it cost a small fortune to build a competitive NASCAR engine. :shock: Mark H

I believe many of the teams of switched to an alternator manufactured by McLaren, not sure what kind of price those are.

What was the purpose of the dyno test? I simple test to get a torque / HP curve should take less than 10 seconds. With the programming that can be done a longer test could be minutes, hours, or days.

Is that engine STD. Or optional in the Camry?

It's a Prius engine, with the optional 9 volt conversion. Seriously though, I enjoyed watching the video.

How is the blow by figure calculated/measured? If we have a figure on a fresh engine dyno run, then a 500 mile race and dyno it again how much difference would we see? Is there a certain percentage from a fresh build that signals a significant performance drop?
