HP and rpm of this 555 bbc

Post by Orr89rocz »

For discussion sake, just wanted to post a combo i am working on and curious what power and peak rpm you guys thought it would make.

Dart block 4.56” x 4.25 stroke
6.635 rod tall deck block
10:1 flat tops
Cnc ported Dart 345’s that measure closer to 360 cc, near 3.45-3.50inch2 csa at the opening.
2.30/1.88 valves. Flow 359 at .500, 422 at .700, 425 at .800. Intake. 283 at .500, 296 at .700, 304 at .800 exhaust.

Eddy super victor efi 29165 with a 105mm throttle body. 4500 wilson elbow. Mildly ported but i wouldnt call it professionally done lol runner opening matched to head

Cam is a street solid roller 267/272 at .050, .795/.751 114 lsa in on 111 for boost but running na right now. Lash is .022/.024. Its like 183 at .200” intake so pretty mild

2 1/8 headers about 27” long 3.5 collector.

I was hoping for 800 around 6600-6700 rpm on pump gas 93 or e85

it shouldn't be difficult to meet your expectations. Looks like a nice build.

If it didn't make at least 800, I would be surprised. I guess the only variable is the efi set up.

Yeah i honestly thought the same it should easily get 800.

Its a multiport efi system. Injector per runner low on intake, basically a carb super victor intake with bungs. Holley HP efi sequential system running it. Coil per cylinder.

I am excited

It has a 4/7 swap cam by the way and i ever clocked the header firing order in the collector to be clockwise lol

Yeah, but your in Australia, so everything swirls the opposite way. Clockwise there, is counter clockwise here. So, you should have swapped 7 and 4, not 4 and 7.

The port volume is too big in NA form and the Cam needs to be down from 111 in NA form also , so to me since you will be boosting your whole post is a waste.

Not a waste when it will be run na for awhile to break in and establish baseline tune and drivability. It will be chassis dyno’d all motor so really am curious

Might even run at the strip to dial in the new suspension

But thanks for your opinion lol

The port volume is fine. There is nothing wrong with his combo. I personally would have chosen more Cam. That's about it

But our accelerator pedal is still on the right, so that must counteract ~15% of the reverse swirl surely?!
