Horsepower ratings are based on the fact that y'all keep asking........
I rate one rod at 500 HP. I've run it at 1725, with an 8740 bolt.
We just don't want to get sued any more often than is absolutely necessary.

Sort of like you buy a claw hammer and find a label on it that reads: "Caution. May contain nuts or nut products." (Yes, the handle might be hickory...) Ya can't be too careful in retail sales.

Back to the OP... I used the Scat PC rods with the LT4 cam and had to relieve .060" on 2 rods. Was not a big deal.

Compstar 6" rods with a 3.875 crank hit my .425 lobe standard base circle. I've seen others on this forum complain that they don't clear as much as advertised.
So much to do, so little time...
