We rebuild/ repair lots of GM circle track crate engines. Usually takes .004-.005 over to get round cylinders. They run fine, no knocking, have had literally zero issues with it. As the old saying goes...too much clearance, no one will know. Not enough clearance, everyone will know!!

Wow, thats a big clearance for those pistons! Yeah, I have seen short skirt forged pistons running that clearance too without knocking!

You're right, loose is faster too! hehe
