As I recall, 'K' boats run a kilometer, from standing start, which is about 6/10ths of a mile. Pretty bad-ass machines.

The stuff you guys and the jet boats that run in the small man made courses do are no joke. I have built a K boat, multiple PS/SS boats and some SE boats. Good planning and engine building practices will get you by in those classes. The stuff you do is above and beyond that.

I still stand by the fact that with as many pans as there are out there, the OP can find something that would work well for his needs.

Bill, K boats (as well as SS, PS and SE boats which are all of similar make and style) run on circle courses usually around 5 miles in length. Some are more of a continuous circle where others are like tight corner ovals. (more like two straights with a turn at the end). They are pretty impressive. We lost a driver last week due to a crash. It is a reminder that these sports we enjoy and love are still dangerous.
