Milling a small block intake manifold
Can some of our resident machinists/engine experts help me with this question please. I have milled the deck of my small block Chevy 350 block .030" to raise the pistons within .005" of zero deck height. My cylinder heads are new AFR Eliminator heads that are stock out of the box and have NOT been milled. I have a Chevrolet #10185063 dual plane intake manifold. Can someone tell me how to mill the intake manifold to match the heads now that the deck of the block has been milled. Thanks

Before you worry about machining the manifold, set it up and lay out the alignment. You maintop need to do any more than a minor port match.
So much to do, so little time...

Like mentioned, check port alignment before worrying how much to mill the intake.
If it needs to be cut, check out the link MB provided.

Re: Milling a small block intake manifold
I never machine the intake unless it is absolutely a must.
Machining the intake face of the heads will allow you to change the intake down the road with little misalignment issues compared to having to cut the intake.
