Comp cams was right
When I tested my SBC-400 at the dyno many years ago, It was built for my Vortech YSI. I tested it unblown. Comp cams said max. hp would be at 6200, It was. If I added or subtracted 12 degrees how much would the max.hp go up or down in rpm. Cam is solid roller,248/260 at .600/.615 with 114 cl,1.6 arms,They did not know the engine had Comp.8.1 to 1.heads Dart 230 flowing 300/235 at .700,850 cfm.,360 manifold....Oldhead PS: Made 470 hp
Quicker then most

I'll post just to get it started, though I'm not too confident. That said, I would guess approximately 600 rpm for 12 degrees.

I think you will find there is more to making peak power at a given engine speed than just moving the valve events.
