383 pump gas with that camshaft and AFR195's OTB
That should be great on fuel economy ;)
How would it effect it?
How do you increase fuel economy and hp at the same time, doesn't it normally require more fuel consumption to increase hp?
Surely your not just trying to create drama on a tech thread as opposed to just answering the OP's question?

It appears to be a way to take a jab at specific people while not having to actually post anything of relevance to any post he is involved in or maybe that's just a coincidence that has got him in timeout before?

Lif the port is more efficient, power will go up without an increase in fuel economy.

I struggle with people wanting to make power but think they can make X amount of horsepower without burning fuel.

You can't save the world. We aren't out of oil. There is no such thing as man made global warming. Build what you want. Let the freaky people worry about shit they can't control.

Yes, those 220 cc heads are just WAAAY to big, it will lose so much down low power you won't be able to drive it. Even with the 23 extra cubes.

If I were you I would get some 195 and full them in till they're about 160cc.

Then when you want to go faster you can grind them out to 230cc
Well, an LS3 does it with less bore, less stroke and 260cc heads... Is there really that much difference to what they do VS a gen 1 SBC based engine? Why couldnt you adapt the same philosophy and build the same style of engine on the older platform.

For power brakes to be useable and to extend clutch life stick to 218-224 @ .50 106-110 lobe separation.

Use italics for sarcasm, just to make it a bit more obvious...…...

Yes I figured, I couldnt understand how a 220cc AFR head is too big and the 195 is fine when the difference in cross section isnt that great what would it be .125"-.150" or something. Put the same cam in as the 383 with 195cc head example on the 406 with the 220s. what would make one great and the other a disaster?

No, he's correct!
Didn't we just go through this same argument a couple of weeks ago in a 195 vs 210 thread or something? Lol #-o

Once you've been on both sides of the coin there is no denning that a slightly under Camed street / strip car is fun to drive 95% of the time where as a slightly over Camed car is not fun to drive 75% of the time!
