Max effort inline valve wedge?
Just curious what there is out there in a max effort combo with an inline valve, stock port configuration and valve angle. I have one guy at 7.0/196 in a full body car. I'm thinking that is up there with a wedge head combo; what else is out there?

A GM 15 degree around 353 inches runs 6.81/194 in record form in a dragster.

500 CI AMC with N2O and Indy heads, 18 degree angle which is stock, 2500 lb Gremlin. Good to be different.

DEFINE "Max Effort" ... within a casting or a bunch of weld to make that casting how you want it...?

Ken, was it you that had a pair of Brewer heads on here...maybe a couple of years back? If going for around 500 inches and strictly in-line valves, they'd be worth a serious look.

Re: Max effort inline valve wedge?
Does not really matter Walter, just curious on how far a wedge has been pushed. This particular one is within the original head casting.
I've never worked on Brewer heads; do like the look of them. There is probably a bit more there with the height of those things, but I'm also thinking not much. The indy is pretty good on flow/valve area, and both are stuck with the same wedge valve limits. Time to go canted.
I figured there would be some fast B1 head Mopars out there. There's also an Indy head twin turbo AMC dragster on the 235 mph limit for top dragster.
Never thought of the Olds, but it sure makes sense. Is that a door car? Batten head?
