Maybe the US guys were thinking
CASUAL ie -
Layed back
Not in a hurry
Just cruising
Nearly to the point of taking the piss, lol
All jokes aside, sounds like Tony and yourself are very busy and that's good because it can always go the other way and have no work, then no Mon for fun.
True steve ! Re casual terminology!!
Hey its always better to be too busy than not have enough work , thats for sure, so no complaints!

Nothing I wanna talk about much other than they don't make em like they used to & he's caused me some major headaches & late nights.
New guy is 25, a lot more "life" under his belt & less fragile, be a couple of months to get him up to speed but fukit, I either grow the shop to keep up with workload or I burn out & go work for someone else that's done the hard yards to employing people already.
Turns out I'd rather be that guy than work for that guy - who'd have thunk it lol.

A very good point and the same thing I constantly think about and battle with.

Tony Beautiful Work !!

I used to work after regular hours at an Autolite Service Clinic when Ford in the US wanted

some after sale service business but the Dealer Council forced them out.

At any rate we tuned this Supercharged 1965 Gt-350 Paxton blown Shelby Heads and Lemans cam and as I recall it would

overwhelm the 300 HP Clayton Chassis Dyno at about 5000 Revs It was a stout piece for its Day!!

We have built a few of the Paxton blower equipped gt350 289's in recent years. That carb hat is not engineered very well and causes huge fuel and air distribution issues. We have used o2 sensors in each individual header tube , egt probes in each tube, and spark plug readings to diagnose issues, and hand made air deflectors fitted into hat to fix problem.

All done, results were a little underwhelming, but enough for the owner.
Looks like the stock dual plane, stock 1.5" pipes & stock dual point distributor held it back more than I thought they would - but it is what it is.
Little blower made 7psi boost up top.
Owner is happy, will scoot the 2650lb Shelby along pretty good, he may stick a vic jnr, bigger pipes & electronic ignition on it down the track if he gets bored & wants more. May even put a smaller pulley on the blower. For now it's staying 'stock appearing'.

Still nothing to sneeze at mate, be good and driveable too. Id like to see tq numbers down to 3000/3500.

I believe with the oil temp at 200+ degrees you would see more HP.

We were stuck at similar # until we fixed the hat issues.

We put a proper Ignition on this, MSD pro billet & 6AL.
It woke right up, big time!

It was fouling plugs on light throttle cruise & getting atrocious fuel economy, that's why he admitted defeat on the old twin point, new ignition literally halved the fuel consumption, never fouls plugs any more & owner says seat of pants it's picked up a fairly decent amount of grunt.
