I've always been in love with the old Detroit 2 strokes. I want a gas version with that blower over-running clutch so once the turbo spools up the blower free wheels. Of course intercool the turbo but also have an AC cooled intercooler brick under the blower.

Another idea I've had for a very long time an NA intake with Merc Marine intake reed valves is close to the head as possible. This should tame the reversion at idle and allow much more cam on the street.

A Edelbrock SBC Tunnel Ram (carbs) that is for the Vortec / E-TEC / Fastburn cylinder heads.
Ditto a roots (6-71) supercharger intake manifold for same.

A street strip carburetor with 6 venturi... "6 barrel"). Like a AFB carb or a Qjet but with central 2 (small) primaries and 4 big secondaries 2 front ,, 2 rear. With air door/velocity valve secondary flow control.
Single carb body. Same width and throttle linkage as existing AFB or Qjet carbs.
Can be used on new dedicated intake manifolds or on existing 4bbl intake manifolds with a simple carb adapter
1200 to 1500 cfm total @1.5"

Could have separated dedicated primary and secondary fuel bowls/floats/fuel inlets
to allow "dual fuel" use. Say gasoline primary and methanol secondaries.

external Adjustable floats

Early to mid 90s E-150 5.0-5.8, the brackets bolt to the heads so they work on either deck height with a belt change. They also have Saginaw power steering pumps.

I second what F-Bird said on the Vortec Tunnel-ram.
I care less if Edelbrock makes it But I want it tall not those short dual plane ones.

If I had some busted vortecs I would mock up a busted block and make a steel one from pipe.
That has been done before.
I built a 4V intake from steel I had laying around for a 260Z and it worked better than any 4V or FI or dual carb setup i ever had on a Z engine.

It is a straightforward mod on most compressors. Two piston ring seals with atmospheric pressure piped into the space between. This paper describes the modification on a small turbocharger.

It will happen. For example Koenigsegg is getting close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3cFfM3r510
