whats up with these Comp 517-16 .500 Viton seals?

Guide is .500 but the comp just slide on and off with the valve movement. Just metal cups, no rubber inside the cups and very little if any press fit. Other brand .500 fit perfect, extra hard to seat actually. Did they forget to add materal inside of seal?

Are your guides knurled at the top to hold the metal clad seals on?

Don't believe so. Makes since, I figured something like that was going on. I never seen seals without rubber in them. Guess its needed for triple springs.

You might have the wrong seals. It sounds like you may have seals intended for .530" guides such as the 518-16 seals. May have been packed wrongly.

Yeah, very poor quality, do not fit properly. Made out of pure crapola....
I now use the Brodix seals, cost more...but they work. No doubt other good quality brands out there also.
