Ported 2970 Edelbrock

I thought I would just post how I port up a basic 2970 for an average 7400rpm 434 bracket engine.

This may take me some time to post the pics and explanations as I don't live on the internet like some of us do.

Do you bias the 5-7 divider. If you don't what is your thoughts for and against?

Starting with the basics.

I work the flange area back opening the plenum.
Determine length and taper of Runner.
Determine port location.
Rough out the gasket area, and work into the plenum
Tootsie stamp, wash, send it.

Very nice work. I too am curious of cost. PM would be good.

I like how you kept the cross section at the bottom of the port entry small to aid in "lifting" the fuel dropped out of suspension, basically lifting the "mass".

Most often I just make the path as straight as possible and correct the length the best I can. Do what I can to size the plenum. Etc. I don't want to go into too much detail. But just looking at it you may see what I've done.

Yes. Taper, length, widths, height floor areas etc
