Previous and resent sets have been good but I think for awhile(couple yrs ago) comp cheaped out on w/e they used for rust prevention(or metal like the msd reluctors). I usually check anything new when I get it and if I'm not gonna use it shortly store it in oil but especially comp stuff and make sure the date is somewhat current, at least comp dates their parts. I got a few old cashew jars filled with oil and diff ratio comp roller rockers LOL Still don't get me started on the metal quality of their guideplates.... I need to make the switch to shaft setups!

Opened the box with the lifters yesterday and the oil on the comps is much thinner than the oil morel and isky uses and they used alot of it on them so they are real oily so understand better now why they recomend cleaning them first.
Followed they video so they are in an oilbath right now.
