Best Bang-For-Your-Buck Crank & Rods?

Post by JoePorting »

So what is everyone's best bang-for-the-buck Crank & Rods for a SBC? I was about to order a 4340 SBC crank and rod set from Scat and I'd thought I'd check out here to see if there's something better that won't break the bank.

What HP engine are you talking about? I've had good luck with scats lightweight cast cranks at 450-500hp level on my own personal engine and one I built for my step brother. Mine has 9 years of bracket racing on it, still passes a mag test and mics good.

I use a lot of Scat cranks and rods. Prices I consider good and the care in machining is evident.

Depends on what the engine will be used for. Street/Strip/Bracket racer, Scat crank and rods are best value, in my opinion.
