That hurt Fellas. We lost a BIG Friend

Post by BrazilianZ28Camaro »

I'm very sad to announce our great member and my good Friend Joe Sherman passed away.

His Son Steve Sherman just announced it on Facebook.

I'm pretty sure the engines will be faster in Heaven now. Go with God my friend. :(

So sad to hear another of the great ones is gone. Still, I'll count it as a win if I can go out like that, still doing what I love.

That is a HUGE loss. I have been to his shop a number of times over the years. Sorry to hear this. Bill, you are right, his last post was on the 13, so it must have happened suddenly.

That is horrible...never met Joe in person but, I enjoyed his stories of when he worked at Edelbrock years ago. He told a few that were pretty good. Would have been so cool to experience those things. The wealth of knowledge someone like him had is amazing.

This is a very sad day for Speedtalk and the high performance industry! We have lost a great person and an extremely knowledgeable racer, engine builder and great mentor for many in our industry and hobby. Joe was always a straight shooter, honest, principled and always willing to share his knowledge and experience to anyone who asked. He spent his whole adult life in racing and engine building. The industry and sport has benefited greatly from his contributions over the years and another one of the great ones has gone to the big track in the sky! RIP Big Joe Sherman! We all will miss you! See Ya Later!

All I can say is WOW. We just lost a man who knowledge, experience and wisdom just can't be replaced.

Damn. Damn. Damn. He could have written a book I for sure would have bought several copies.
