We have been very fortunate that he has always been out here telling it like it is!
Couldn't have said it any better than that. It also deeply saddens me to recognize that we have and are still losing many of the greatest backyard garage pioneers of these things called engines that affect and influence our lives so greatly.

My deepest condolences to all his fans and loved ones. He will be missed by many.

Yes, it's obvious a generation is disappearing rapidly. Probably along with our hobby.

I never had the opportunity to meet or speak with him, but I definitely enjoyed the stories from his old Edelbrock days, and the way he didn't sugar coat anything.
He was absolutely a great asset to the overall knowledge base of this site.

I will miss his posts.

RIP Big Joe.

I haven't been on here much lately and just saw this. What a shock! I'm very sorry to hear of Joe's passing, and his knowledge and wit will definitely be sorely missed. Prayers for his family. RIP, Big Joe.
