Theoretical question about air flow...
Okay... I was visiting my old friend Al who does excellent carb work... he couldn't answer this so you guys have a shot...
If I spread Vick's VapoRub all over my air filter will my engine breathe better?
Alcohol was NOT involved...

Are you troubled with post-nozzle drip? If you have occasional combustion reflux perhaps a dab of Vics and advancing the timing a bit would help.

If it's a paper filter, it'll probably give a bit of restriction until it pretty much all gets sucked into the engine, then it'll burn and the filter won't be quite so restrictive.
Who's going to give it a go?

Perhaps to seal the filter to the base of the air cleaner , bacteria often hides in these areas and promotes infection

Do you mean fuel infection or direct infection?

Can be either , reversion can drive fuel to these areas and accelerate the spread of infection

If the Vicks backs everything up, just give it 2 suppositories up the tailpipes...lol. That will clean it out.
