Now, I'm not an engine builder by trade, but I find some of Jamora's (Isky's R&D) comments interesting. Posting this purely as an interesting read.

That was an interesting read. Most of it was what I found actually building engines, with maybe the exception of rod ratios.

Is Nolan Jamora Jumbo's son or grandson, or some other relation? They look a lot alike.

Jumbo used to race at Lions in the mid 60's and had a badass Chevelle.

I noticed that and found it interesting, along with StatSystems' comment on rod ratio. One of my buddies paid a lot of money for upgraded valvetrain and a 4/7 swap. He's convinced its some sort of black magic and recommends it to everyone (ugh...seriously, everyone). Although, considering the $$ he spent, he probably thinks it solves ancient riddles involving the Fibonacci Sequence). I pray he never finds this article. LOL
