I posted the pic on Eagle's Facebook wall. According to them, it had to have been added after it left their facility. Possibly through the handle on the end of the box. It's not anything they offer or are missing. Where did you order it from? Has it been to the machine shop for anything?

It was inside a bag that was taped to the bag the crankshaft was in?

Ordered it from Jegs. Laying on my front porch then to the work bench an took off the plastic bag an notice the bag was heavy still. Anyhow I’ll use it as a handle on some thing.

I think you nailed it.. it is the handle that came off the gage drawer in the QC Department!
Eagle's supplier has a QC department?

What diameter is this rod?

If correct it could be used to hold connecting rods together while checking length, like a tool or fixture in the shop and definitely not something they would have in their catalog.

I’m a cabinet setter by trade. That’s a drawer pull! Lol
