Cliff Ruggles is indeed legit and is a certified gentleman. However, the idle circuit modifications and recipes in his book are too rich, way, way, way too plug fouling rich. He must have written the text before WBO2 became so widely available. Yes absolutely, since every engine wants something a bit different I start stock in most cases and modify what is necessary from there, however on the Poncho stuff I do his carbs I've used before I started building my own have ran very good with just minor tweaks. Fwiw

It been a long time but I went to the Rochester school on qjets and they are simply amazing in what they can do.They were good enough that GM was able to use them a few years after others had to go fuel injection to meet emission requirements.
