Does anyone here have a good recipe for this carb?. I've had it and was thinking of trying to upgrade it myself(inexpensive). I hear of a lot of 3 to 2 circuit conversions. I don't wanna spend a bunch, otherwise I'd just send it to somebody.

Thanks

Hello Chad,

There are several persons here that are experienced with dominator Holley mods.
The first thing I would do is put in T-slot restrictors (front and rear). Not a difficult modification.
That was the most important change I made to my 1050.
There are a few 1050 "recipes" out there.

I would be willing to buy some metering blocks if it made the conversion easier. Wondering if the cheap blocks are worth buying and which ones(proform, holley etc) and then where to go from there. If I were to wrap a bunch of money in it, I'd probably rather just send it to Whitener. I just kind of felt like messing with it myself and maybe learning some stuff. ... .thanks again.

That particular part number carburetor was sold with 4 different specs and parts when new from Holley, throughout the years.

Plenty of info on the change to 2 circuit. You can use 4150 blocks with a little work, the Quick Fuel 34-105 blocks are the least expensive billet blocks.
Info here.
